2017 IS GOING TO BE A STEAMY YEAR

Sudbury Burlesque is at it again! If you didn’t get enough burlesque over Halloween with their massively successful Monster’s Ball you won’t have to wait long for another chance to catch a performance. The ladies and gents of burlesque are getting ready to steam up your whole year with the launch of their Seasons of  Sudbury Burlesque calendar! And what better way to kick the whole thing off than with another fantastic show!  The evening will include live burlesque acts, stand-up comedy, live musical entertainment, signature drinks, silent auction, meet and greets with the ladies and gents of Sudbury Burlesque, silent auction, vintage clothing sale, and of course a dance party to finish off the night! This weekend November 12th at The Durham Hall get there to be part of all the action, just $30 ($15 at the door) gets you into the show AND your own copy of the new Seasons of Sudbury Burlesque calendar!

Seasons of Sudbury Burlesque is a collaboration between the ladies and gents of the troupe and a slew of local photographers. Photographers include Alex Filion, Michael Kaiser, Gerry Kingsley, Tennille Heinonen and Stacey Lalande, and graphic designer Matti Sherzinger who all took part in making this project come to life. What a way to showcase our great local creatives! Not only have they captured some of Sudbury’s most photogenic citizens, they’ve worked their magic creating a calendar that will be a real treat month after month!

These folks have hearts just as big as their talents with all the calendar proceeds going towards Sam Bruno P.E.T Scan Fund. Having just this week received a donation from Health and Long-Term Care Minister Eric Hoskins of 4.6 million and two generous anonymous donations of $500,000 Sudbury is one step closer to finally getting its own P.E.T. Scanner! But what is a P.E.T. Scanner anyway? Let’s break it down. Positron Emission Tomography is a tool used to track how your body uses different substances. By attaching radio-active material to molecules like water, oxygen, glucose or ammonia, gamma rays can are generated when exposed to electrons. These radio-active molecules are injected into the patient before undergoing the P.E.T. Scan. This allows doctors to see the movement of molecules in the body and recognize patterns that could show signs of serious and life threatening health problems. Think of how many lives could be saved!

Get your tickets quick while you still have a chance to catch this early bird rate of just $30! What a bargain for a calendar and a show! This will definitely get you off Santa’s naughty list just in time for the holidays!
