BATTLE OF THE …ARTS?

BATTLE OF THE …ARTS?

If you are an artist specializing in painting it is time to put on your armor and work on your warrior call! Art Battle is coming to Sudbury, October 12th 2017 7pm at Cambrian College Student Center, and it is a must see event open to the public.  This one of a kind event sees two brush wielding competitors face off with 20 minutes to create the best piece of art! All pieces created on the battle field will be available for silent auction at the end of the evening if you want to give your home a little inspirational flair.

If you love turning a blank canvas into a beautiful piece of art this contest is for you! Every artist is given a blank canvas, brush, palette, two mixing palettes, water container, cleaning towels and 20 minutes. The challenge – to win the audience vote for best piece! The winner is crowned by popular vote and named Best Art Piece in Sudbury. This saves them a spot to move onto the national Art Battle competition to face off again!

Not an Artist? The best thing about this event is that you don’t have to be an artist to attend you just has to enjoy art and the art making process.  While the artists are “doing their thang” you get to observe them in their element and at the end vote for the winner.  Yes that’s right VOTE! So even if you think your 5 year olds finger paintings should be in a museum, you still get a say. At the end of the night the audience can bid on any piece of work through a silent auction, so if you really love art don’t forget your cheque books. Tickets to this one of a kind art experience are $15 advance or $20 at the door, get yours in advance here.

Hope to see all Sudbury there supporting this first ever event in Nickel City!
