DIY Dental Hygiene Products

Do it yourself (DIY) is all the rage these days, it is pretty much why Pinterest was invented.  From home decor to lip scrubs, you can pretty much find out how to make anything these days but have you ever considered tooth paste or mouth wash?  Years ago I started switching all my products to more natural solutions, and recently I try to make as many of my products as I can. Making your own products can be great because you know exactly what goes in them and there are no surprises. Another amazing benefit is that they are actually healthier......

Timeless Holiday Turkey

Roasting a turkey is nothing to be afraid of! It’s really not as time consuming or difficult as people make it out to be. The key to a juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside turkey is simple… Brine. A simple brine is basically a salt bath for your turkey that allows the turkey to soak up and retain water. Best of all, brining actually reduces the time it takes to cook the bird! Try out this version to infuse your turkey with some lovely holiday flavours. It is not uncommon to sit down at a dinner table and the meal includes meat, grains and potatoes.  My question always is where are the vegetables?  The answer I always get is potatoes are a vegetable.  But are they? Here are some reasons why I would not consider potatoes a vegetable. When I think of vegetables I think of the nutrition factor they have, along with all the enzymes, which is why they should be eaten at every meal.  Potatoes contain vitamin C, vitamin B6, copper, potassium, manganese, tryptophan and fiber.  These are all great things and do......
