Christina Best- Sudbury’s Own National Champ

Christina Best is a modern martial artist, a mother and a mentor. Don’t let these photos fool you; she is a badass, but she’s also one of the friendliest people around. Christina trains out of Melbrook Martial Arts Academy, where she can be found almost every day, either smashing Thai pads, the heavy bag, or as acting instructor during Women’s only classes. Recently, Christina has been very busy, with fighting in the featured bout of Northern Fights (a local amateur promotion), followed by winning the National Championship for WAKO in her weight division. Sam Hirst: Voyageur in the Community

Laurentian Universities’ Men’s Basketball team performed admirably this season.
