CRATER CONVERSATIONS EP 12: HAILEY SHORT

Welcome to another edition of Crater Conversations, a weekly show live on CKLU now on at a brand spanking new time Tuesday’s at 5PM! So, what exactly is the show all about? Join your host Crater co-founder Jess each week as we sit down with a local guest, we’ll talk about their projects, their passions, and the things they love about or little rock town! We’ll be sitting down with performers, entrepreneurs, community leaders – really anyone with a story. Personal anecdotes, first inspirations, childhood follies, who knows where this will take us but we can’t wait to find out!  Can’t catch the show on air? No worries, all our episodes will be posted online afterwards for easy listening. If you’re inclined to tune in live you can dial in to CKLU 96.7 or stream live at https://www.cklu.ca/ 5PM every Tuesday.

We love to promote some #girlpower over here at Our Crater, and this episodes guest Hailey Short is definitely an amazing example! By day she works in the communications department of the Greater Sudbury Airport and by night is a tireless volunteer and community builder. She currently holds the position of chair of the Young Professionals Association (YPA) here in Sudbury, she works with her team to provide networking, leadership and skill building workshops to professionals in the early stages of their careers. She’s embarked on an exciting new project aimed at empowering female professionals such as herself, She&Her. The She&Her Women in Leadership Symposium will assemble a panel of some of our areas top #girlbosses and give them a chance to tell their stories. This event is (not surprisingly) scheduled for March 8th which happens to be International Women’s Day. The event has been received with enormous success and is currently SOLD OUT but you can sign up here to be put on a waiting list should tickets become available. In her spare time you can find Hailey sipping a nice glass of wine and indulging in one of her favourite podcasts. Listen in to learn more here and check out our Spotify playlist for this episode here.

Jessica Lovelace is a Public Relations and Communications grad, musical theatre enthusiast, lover of live music and part-time unicorn tamer. Some have said that the Big Dripper from Sub City is a regional delicacy and the perfect end to a Sudbury Saturday Night – Jessica is definitely one of those people. No, the hair is not a perm.
