CRATER CONVERSATIONS EP 4 – SHAWN McLAREN

Welcome to another edition of Crater Conversations, our new weekly show live on CKLU Sunday nights at 10PM! So, what exactly is the show all about? Join your host Crater co-founder Jess each week as we sit down with a local guest, we’ll talk about their projects, their passions, and the things they love about our little rock town! We’ll be sitting down with performers, entrepreneurs, community leaders – really anyone with a story. Personal anecdotes, first inspirations, childhood follies, who knows where this will take us but we can’t wait to find out!  Can’t catch the show on air? No worries, all our episodes will be posted on Soundclound afterwards for easy listening. If you’re inclined to tune in live you can dial in to CKLU 96.7 or stream live at https://www.cklu.ca/10PM every Sunday night.

On this weeks episode of Crater Conversations we’re talking with Shawn McLaren. If you don’t recognize his name you might recognize his alter ego, the raunchy bingo calling Aunt Zelda! But he’s got more than one trick up his sleeve, you can also catch him performing stand up at any given stage around town, back in the office putting together Cinefest International Film Festival and LOL Festival or most recently putting pen to paper and getting in front of the camera for his latest project THC+. Written and shot entirely in Sudbury and featuring many familiar faces from around town THC+ is a vampire horror and stoner comedy that all of us here at Our Crater have been eager to watch and our wait might FINALLY be over this spring. In the mean time we’re gonna get the scoop from Shawn on the project and how they managed to put it all together.
