CRATER CONVERSATIONS EP 8: CHRISTMAS EDITION

Welcome to another edition of Crater Conversations, a weekly show live on CKLU now on at a brand spanking new time Tuesday’s at 5PM! So, what exactly is the show all about? Join your host Crater co-founder Jess each week as we sit down with a local guest, we’ll talk about their projects, their passions, and the things they love about our little rock town! We’ll be sitting down with performers, entrepreneurs, community leaders – really anyone with a story. Personal anecdotes, first inspirations, childhood follies, who knows where this will take us but we can’t wait to find out!  Can’t catch the show on air? No worries, all our episodes will be posted online afterwards for easy listening. If you’re inclined to tune in live you can dial in to CKLU 96.7 or stream live at https://www.cklu.ca/ 5PM every Tuesday.

The holiday season is upon us and with it comes so many fun traditions and memories galore! In this weeks edition we went searching for a very special guest, someone who really embodies the season – SANTA! This search led us to Ron Tait, a retiree from Lively who you can catch making appearances all over Sudbury as Santa Claus! We were lucky enough to catch Ron between engagements (it is a busy season after all) to hear some of his stories and favourite family traditions of the season. In our second half I bring in another guest, Emmalee Lovelace aka my sister to talk about some of our family’s Christmas traditions – and let me tell you we have a lot of them! Listen in here for the episode and check out our Spotify playlist here.

We hope you enjoy this weeks episode with a glass of egg nog (rum optional) with your tree lit up. From everyone here at Our Crater have a very happy holidays!

Jessica Lovelace is a Public Relations and Communications grad, musical theatre enthusiast, lover of live music and part-time unicorn tamer. Some have said that the Big Dripper from Sub City is a regional delicacy and the perfect end to a Sudbury Saturday Night – Jessica is definitely one of those people. No, the hair is not a perm.
