STC Cabaret Series: Ladies of the Rock feat. Samantha Simone
Sudbury Theatre Centre Presents a NEW cabaret series: LADIES OF THE ROCK! This 3-part series will showcase some of Sudbury's giant population of amazing female musicians and artists: come let us give you some insight as to what these rockin' gals are up to! Hosted by the incredibly talented rockin' lady herself, Kelly Perras, these three evenings are sure to get your toes tapping and your minds thinking about what Sudbury has to offer. Our first lady of the rock is the sweet Samantha Simone! Fresh off of a stellar debut performance in Sudbury Burlesque's Monster's Ball 3, Samantha is one multi-faceted artist you don't want to miss the chance to see. LOL Sudbury Comedy Festival: André-Philippe Gagnon
En 1985, André-Philippe Gagnon a acquis une renommée internationale grâce à une prestation tout à fait phénoménale au prestigieux festival Juste pour rire de Montréal. Il avait alors imité avec brio chacun des artistes ayant collaboré à la célèbre chanson humanitaire We Are The World, de Michael Jackson et Lionel Ritchie, enregistrée par United Support of Artists (USA) for Africa. Cette prestation lui a valu peu de temps après une invitation à présenter cette même version de We Are The World au Tonight Show, animé par Johnny Carson sur les ondes de NBC. Ce fut la gloire instantanée. La suite des choses, nous la connaissons. Parmi les imitations les plus remarquables d’André-Philippe Gagnon, notons entre autres Céline Dion, Ray Charles, Alice Cooper, Susan Boyle, Yvon Deschamps, Pierre Lapointe, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Gregory Charles, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, les Rolling Stones et Bono.
