STC Cabaret Series: Ladies of the Rock feat. Samantha Simone
Sudbury Theatre Centre Presents a NEW cabaret series: LADIES OF THE ROCK! This 3-part series will showcase some of Sudbury's giant population of amazing female musicians and artists: come let us give you some insight as to what these rockin' gals are up to! Hosted by the incredibly talented rockin' lady herself, Kelly Perras, these three evenings are sure to get your toes tapping and your minds thinking about what Sudbury has to offer. Our first lady of the rock is the sweet Samantha Simone! Fresh off of a stellar debut performance in Sudbury Burlesque's Monster's Ball 3, Samantha is one multi-faceted artist you don't want to miss the chance to see. Looking for something to do this March Break?! Come on out to the Laurentian Nordic Ski Club, located on the Laurentian University Campus, for some great cross country skiing! We will be offering the following deals: Youth 18 and under - FREE DAY PASS & RENTALS Seniors 55+ - FREE DAY PASS & RENTALS Adults (19-54) - HALF-PRICE DAY PASS & RENTALS ($10!!!) *Please sign-in at the chalet before heading out for a ski. **While rentals last. No reservations or guarantees on equipment availability can be made. Kilometer Challenge: Also part of our Ski Fest is a kilometer challenge. We are encouraging all skiers to "Ski their Faces Off" and get as many kilometers on the snow before it disappears. Using our tracking chart at the chalet, participants will be able to record their kilometers and be considered for prizes. A few rules: ~ Participants are able to ski at any 6 of Sudbury's ski clubs and count these kilometers towards our Ski Fest and prizes. ~ Participants must ski a minimum of 5 kilometers on Laurentian Nordic trails in order to be considered for prizes. ~ Prizes will be awarded for skiing 5km, 10km, 20km, and 40km+ over the course of 5 days (Monday-Friday) ~ Participants must take photo evidence of themselves skiing at another ski club, tagging that particular club along with Laurentian Nordic Ski Club / Club de ski nordique Laurentien, in order for those kilometers to count towards their overall kilometers for our Ski Fest. Older Than Ireland is a landmark documentary that tells the story of a hundred years of a life as seen through the eyes of thirty Irish centenarians. Reflecting on such key events as the day they got their first pair of shoes, the thrill of their first kiss, from the magic of their wedding day to the tragic loss of their loved ones, these centenarians have lived through it all. Having witnessed a century of immense social, political and technological change each centenarian has a unique perspective on life and its true meaning.
