Can you believe there is only one month left of 2017? How is it already December? 2017 has flown by but we couldn’t be more excited for the holiday season. There are always so many exciting things happening at this time of year. Oh, and don’t forget to sign up for our 12 Days of Giveaways before it’s too late. CTV Lions Children’s Christmas Telethon

Since 1949, Sudbury has worked together to raise money to help children in our community. Each year the telethon has raised thousands of dollars from community donations and kept us entertained with some amazing local talent. It really is the most wonderful time of the year and a great time to give back to our community! The telethon starts at 2pm and runs until 11pm on your CTV station and on Bell TV 221.

2017 Sudbury Santa Shuffle

This 5K fun run is the most festive way to stay in shape this holiday season. Not a runner? No problem, you can sign up for the 1K Elf Walk! All fund raised are given to our local Salvation Army. The run takes place on Saturday, December 2nd at College Boreal and starts at 10am.

Makers North Holiday Pop-Up Market

Waiting until the last minute to get your holiday shopping done? That’s okay, so are we! And we’re really excited for yet another holiday market where we can shop local and pick up some amazing handmade gifts. Makers North has been bringing some of the best makers markets to Sudbury and after the success of their Makers North Handmade Holiday Market last month, they’ve decided to organize a pop up market. There will be some amazing makers from Northern Ontario in the atrium of the Parker Building at Laurentian University on Friday, December 8th from 9am-2pm.

YES Theatre Orchestra presents Disney’s Beauty & the Beast in concert

YES Theatre is bringing yet another amazing production to life this December and we cannot wait! This is the first experience of it’s kind for Sudbury featuring 19 musicians and 26 actors and will only be on the stage for 3 days so make sure you get your tickets TODAY. You can see Beauty & the Beast in concert from December 7-9 at Glad Tidings Church.

Anderson Farm Museum Heritage Society 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration

Spend the evening at Anderson Farm with performances by Ecole St. Paul, LDSS Rock Bands Group, R.H. Murray Public School and Walden Public School. There will be free hot chocolate, coffee and cookies and even an appearance from Santa & Mrs. Clause! Grab your family and head to Anderson Farm on Saturday, December 9th from 6-8pm for this family friendly celebration. .
