Trendsetter Thursday: Fall Trends II

Welcome to Our Crater’s Trendsetter Thursday microblog! Here we show you our favourite looks and styles and give you some of our top fashion tips and tricks.

Today’s look: Fall Trends (part 2)

In our last post, I tried to create a look that was functional for fall, without layering on tons of knits and scarves (because I can’t let go of summer just yet). This time around, I have found another piece that is the perfect transition for those chilly days ahead!

Trend #1: The Updated Shirt Dress

Flannel: everyone’s favourite autumn fabric. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a favourite of mine too. This take on a classic shirt dress is perfect for the colder months, as it’s not only made out of a thicker material (that is oh-so-soft) but is also a longer length. This dress can also be worn open, sort of as a duster coat or long cardigan, too! I snagged this one at Uniqlo in Toronto.

Trend #2: Brimmed Hats

This hat is from Brixton, and it is one of my favourite accessories in my closet. It’s felt, so it’s great for spring and autumn when the days are both chilly and sunny! Brixton is a classic brand for high-quality hats and headgear (and many of their styles are unisex), but outerwear accessories similar to this one can be found at shops like Winners, Urban Outfitters, and vintage boutiques.

Trend #3: Carryall Clutch

Okay, so this isn’t technically a clutch, but it’s the right size to fit all my small necessities while not being bulky. Indigo is secretly one of my favourite places to find great bags, backpacks, and purses, and they always gets tons of new styles each season! Stitch & Stone also has many trendy styles and brands such as Pixie Mood and Jeane & Jax.

Until next time, friends!
