In case you haven’t been paying attention, Valentine’s Day is coming – quicker than you think! Still trying to plan that perfect date? Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered!

Paint night. If you want to get crafty this Valentine’s Day, we suggest you check out Paint Social!Grab a drink and get your paint on. Don’t worry – you will be guided step-by-step through the painting by their performing artist. They are hosting events all weekend for $45. Painting starts at 7:00 p.m. so why not grab an early dinner at Respect is Burning. If you haven’t been there since the re-opening, Valentine’s day seems like the perfect time to check out their new look and incredible menu.

Get outside. We live in Northern Ontario so what better way to spend your Valentine’s Day than outside enjoying the beautiful scenery. Head over to Ramsey Lake and spend your afternoon on the Ramsey Lake skating path or drive over to the Lake Laurentian Conservation Area for their fourth annual Ice Fishing Day from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Warm up after at Salute Coffee Company with one of their delicious lattes.

Dinner and a show. The Sudbury Theatre Centre has the perfect date night planned for you! Check out Blind Date, enjoy a delicious dinner and head back to STC in time for Love Songs Cabaret.  Cost: $97.35 plus HST you can see the show and receive a $50 voucher for dinner at Apollo, Alexandria’s, Casa Mexicana, Mr. Prime Rib, Oscar’s Grill or Ristorante Verdicchio. If you are celebrating Valentine’s Day a few days early, you can still catch Blind Date Friday and Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for $35.00.

Spread the love. What better way to spend a day full of love than by spreading it to those who really need it? Volunteer at the Elgin Street Mission with your Valentine or get involved with a local animal shelter and spend your day giving back! Did you know this weekend is also PetSmart National Adoption weekend? If you’re still looking for a gift for your love, The Ontario SPCA has some special friends looking for forever homes.
