Sudbury Game Design Challenge – The SGDC is a 48-hour media design competition where teams of up to 4 compete against the clock and each other to create the best possible game within an announced theme. The competition is open to Artists, Musicians, Programmers and Writers from around Sudbury and the North.  4:00 p.m. @ NORCAT – 1545 Maley Drive

Banff Mountain Film Festival – The Banff Mountain Film Festival is once again coming back to Sudbury, Ontario – for it’s 40th anniversary!! This amazing festival features phenomenal films from outdoor adventurers all over the world, a silent auction ideal for the outdoor enthusiast, local exhibitors, and MORE!! 5:30 p.m. @ Fraser Auditorium

Acoustic Soul Yoga – Lift your spirits and expand your vision of what’s possible in this Vinyasa flow class set to the live tunes of David Dino White. Class led by Evan Jolicoeur and sure to be energizing, fun and inspirational! 6:30 p.m. @ Myoga – 2037 Long Lake Road, Unit 12

The Pixo Control – The Pixo Control is a rock n roll band from Northern Ontario formed by songwriter Michael Mikus in October of  2013. Drummer Keeghan Rosso and Bassist Dustin Goodall help to glue the sound of the band together in a way that one man couldn’t do on his own. 11:00 p.m. @ The Townehouse Tavern – 206 Elgin Street

Women’s Self Defense Seminar – In response to a violent sexual assault in New York, Sudbury BJJ & Muay Thai will be teaching a special 2-hour seminar for free. The seminar is designed for first-time self-defense students and will teach participants six important techniques. 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. @ Sudbury BJJ & Muay Thai Academy – 790 Lasalle Blvd.

Nickel City Storm Comedy Fundraiser – Yuk Yuk Comedy Night and Dance supporting the Nickel City Storm Bantam “A” and the Sudbury Lady Wolves Intermediate “A”.
