Mastermind Community Networking – Brand New Networking Events on the 2nd Monday of each Month beginning April 11, 2016. What’s the deal with Trivia Night? – 3 rounds of 15 questions, and one bonus question per round. Pages are marked a-la grade 5 math class by passing them to a friend. Points scored for being awesome and promoting awesome things! Find a funny answer on someone’s card, even if its not the right answer you can still nominate them for an awesome star. We also reward jokers and pranksters and all those who don’t cheat! Winner takes home bragging rights and some awesome prizes. Celebrate Women 2016 – The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW – Sudbury), in partnership with the YWCA and the Women’s Legal, Education, and Action Fund (LEAF), will be presenting their 21st annual Celebrate Women event. This year’s author is Carmen Aguirre, a Vancouver-based writer and theatre artist. Her new book is “Mexican Hooker #1 and My Other Roles Since the Revolution”. She tells the gripping story of finding her voice as an artist after being a Chilean refugee and teenage revolutionary, and of developing the courage to confront a childhood trauma. Fierce, funny and enlightening, this powerful memoir is a story of strength and survival. 7:30 p.m. @ Fraser Auditorium

UNDO – We all have made bad decisions professionally and graphic design isn’t any different. UNDO is an exhibition that challenges graphic design students to reflect on past work and admit that no design is perfect but that mistakes are a key part of the design process. Dinner & A Show with Trent Severn – Acclaimed women’s trio, Trent Severn, will be featured on Thursday, April 14 in The Motley Kitchen’s Dinner and a Show series. Opening Reception – Assemble: Five years of Contemporary drawing – Since its inception in 2011, Line Gallery, an independent gallery dedicated to the presentation and promotion of contemporary Canadian drawing, has produced twenty-five solo exhibitions of emerging and established artists working in drawing from across Canada. Based in North Bay, Ontario, Line Gallery is currently the only gallery in Canada with a mandate focused exclusively on drawing. Over the past five years Amanda Burk and Paul Irwin, co-owners of Line Gallery, have been actively developing a collection of Canadian drawing that reflects a broad range of contemporary drawing practices taking place nationally. Tree of Life – Open Painting Session – This session is focusing on the Tree of Life and what that means to us! Remember, trees can take on any shape and size and any colour for that matter. There is no right or wrong with trees! Simple painting techniques and brush stroke instruction will be available to get you started. Then you can make this “Tree of Life” express anything you wish.
