Sexy Moroccan Cuisine – Moroccan cuisine is an artful blend of different cuisines and influences from other cultures who have visited and left their mark over the country throughout the centuries. Paul Collins Beat w/ Dany Laj and the Looks – This is going to be an awesome night in Rock history!! Paul Collins formed The Beat in 1979 in Los Angeles. He was in the seminal American Power Pop band, The Nerves (see single – Hanging on the Telephone). Formed in 1976, The Nerves were on the front edge of the Punk revolution about to swallow the world. Independence Club for Women – Empowering women through casual financial discussion! Whether you’ve experienced a life changing event such as loss or seperation, or you simply want to have a better understanding of your financial situation; we encourage you to join us! Celebrity Server for Muscular Dystrophy Canada – You will get to meet a great group of volunteers who will be helping to serve your dinner! And if you tell us that you are here to support the event, Muscular Dystrophy Canada will get 10% of sales from 5-8! WomenInFilmWednesdays Screening: END OF DAYS, INC. – WomenInFilmWednesdays is a monthly film series of Sudbury Indie Cinema Co-op which showcases the recent work of women directors. We support local women’s services with partial proceeds from the box office. Jennifer Liao the director will join us via Skype for a post-screening debrief. END OF DAYS, INC. is a dark comedy about a group of laid-off workers at a mysterious company who bribes them to work one last night only to discover that this could have cataclysmic consequences. Sloan – 20th anniversary One Chord to Another – This special evening with Sloan will feature the legendary Canadian rock and roll band in the intimate setting of The Townehouse Tavern. Raising Vegan Children: A Parents Panel – As ethical vegans raising children there are often many questions to ask or tips to give. Because veganism is not yet the mainstream, dealing with holidays, doctors, judgement from others or little fussy eaters there could be barriers to overcome. Join Sudbury Animal Rights Association for an evening to overcome some of those barriers together. A panel of parents answering a series of common questions on raising “herbies” and group discussion on other positive ideas. Even if you are not currently vegan but considering it and are unsure how to go about the transitions with your children, this will be very helpful for information and meeting other vegan parents. 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. @ Sudbury Public Library (South End) – 1991 Regent Street

Blues for Debi – C.J. Chenier with his read hot Louisiana band and Northern Memphis Revival will play a Benefit Concert in support of Northern Cancer Foundation! Tony Anselmo (Records on Wheels) and his family are well known in Sudbury for their love of music. If you have been involved with music in some way in our community, there is no doubt that a benefit concert is the perfect way to honour Tony’s late wife Debi Anselmo. Debi lost her battle to cancer on May 28, 2014. The benefit concert presented by SCC Promotions will be taking place in the Upper hall at the Caruso Club.
