Italian Regional Cuisine A virtual and sensory tour of several Italian regions. Hear the stories, taste dishes from Stephanie’s favourite towns and learn about the ingredients and food styles that make each region distinct. And the winner is… Trivia Night – 3 rounds of 15 questions, and one bonus question per round. Pages are marked a-la grade 5 math class by passing them to a friend. Points scored for being awesome and promoting awesome things! Find a funny answer on someone’s card, even if its not the right answer you can still nominate them for an awesome star. We also reward jokers and pranksters and all those who don’t cheat! Winner takes home bragging rights and some awesome prizes. NCRD Public Open Skate and FM info night – We had such a blast skating with our friends, we want to do it again!! Opening up our space to all you’s out there that love to skate. Northern Lights Writes: Spoken Word [open mic + performances] – Want to experience or perform some super diverse and impressive writing from local writers/performers? Look no further. Monthly spoken word night at Speakeasy, with scheduled performers, as well as an open mic portion. The idea is to lead into a performance based workshop at the 2016 Northern Lights Festival Boréal, but also just to provide a space for people to explore the spoken and written word. All types of material are welcome: poetry, slam, short stories, novel excerpts, oral storytelling, hip hop, but the idea is to focus on the power of words. True to the element of competition, celebrity judges along with our guests will assist in determining which dance team will be the STARS of the 6th annual event.
