It’s Chili Outside Join us Downtown Sudbury at Memorial park for a dinner that pushes for change! It’s Chili Outside! Dinner will include chili and hot beverages. Don’t miss our guest speaker Joe Roberts! This event is free of charge. Joe Roberts, a former homeless youth who lived on the streets of east Vancouver made a promise that if he ever escaped his fate, he would do something to pay it forward. The Push for Change is his promise realized. Beginning May 1, 2016 Joe began pushing a shopping cart, (a symbol of chronic homelessness) across Canada on a 517 day, 9000 km trek to raise awareness and funds to prevent youth homelessness. 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. @ Memorial Park

French Alsacian Winemaker at Verdicchios – Join Heather from Opimian and Mark from Verdiccio’s as they welcome Alsacian winery Hunawihr for an evening of French wines paired with Italian food. There will be a tasting of Hunawihr wines, as well as a 4 course paired meal. 6-Week Public Speaking Course – If you’re at all afraid of public speaking, this course is designed to help coax you out of your comfort zone. The in-class interactive activities plus the action-based homework will help you gain the confidence required to speak in front of people, no matter the subject or size of the audience. The course focuses on 6 key components of public speaking: nervousness, stage presence, vocalizations, timing, speaking off the cuff, putting it all together. Celebrity Server for Provincial Ringette U14A Team – The Provincial Ringette U14A Team is in the house!!! The ladies will be joinin us on Wednesday January 18 from 5-8 to help serve YOU!!! All you have to do is come out for dinner and let them know at the front door that that you are out to support them. After that, you get to sit back and enjoy your meal and we’ll do the rest! The ladies are working for their money! They will recieve a portion of proceeds from 5-8! Arctic Whipperfest 2017 – Does anyone really need an excuse to take whipper? If so, do we have the solution to all your problems. One of the goals of the comp is to have fun. The other goal is to raise money for our youth team climbers with proceeds from the $15 entry fee going towards the youth team! So if you’re worried about taking massive whippers, just remember it’s all in the name of your favourite little shredders! Competitor note: Our setters will be setting all of the routes the week leading up to the competition. If you intend to compete we ask that you refrain from climbing any of the lead routes put up over the week as it would give an unfair advantage over the other competitors. Y2crater – Party like its 1999! Our Crater is hosting a 90’s/2000’s throwback dance party, it’s Y2K all over! Spend January 20th with all your favourite Sudburians! Featuring a midnight countdown, prize draws, and a mix of all your new and old favourite songs to dance to. This will also mark Our Crater’s one year anniversary and send us into our second year with a bang! Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. KLC Game Making with Scratch – Kids Learning Code is excited to combine the power of play with basic design and programming skills for a full day, game-making workshop! This experience offers girls and boys the opportunity to brainstorm modern day game ideas with others in a super fun environment and learn basic design principles, character interaction techniques, as well as appropriate audio integration.
