From June 22-26, Sudbury will be hosting Queer North Film Festial (QNFF); our first LGBT film festival! There are many LGBT festivals in southern Ontario that draw films and viewers from around the world, but this is the first time that Sudbury will be home to a film fest that focuses on LGBT content and creation. Who Will We See On National Canadian Film Day: Atom or Ryan?

Earlier this month, Sudbury Indie Cinema Co-op announced it’s hosting National Canadian Film Day on Wednesday, April 20th- a countrywide celebration of Canadian movies. SCIENCE NORTH IMAX®: The Next Generation

Last month, Science North’s IMAX® Theatre was closed for some pretty awesome upgrades. The theatre reopened February 6, 2016, with the world’s most state-of-the-art advanced cinema technology–IMAX with Laser, the third of its kind in Canada (after ScotiaBank Theatre in Toronto and TELUS World of Science in Edmonton). With this new laser system, Science North’s IMAX Theatre can now offer the best cinematic programming for their documentaries and feature-length films.
