Run for Hope with the Northern Cancer Foundation!

For the second consecutive year, the Northern Cancer Foundation is holding their Walk/Run for Hope, a marathon consisting of 1km, 3km, and 5km routes through Bell Park to raise funds and awareness for the Northeast Cancer Centre. It takes place Sunday, June 12th, with registration beginning at 10:00am. Join the Fight: NCF Walk/Run for Hope

On Sunday, June 12th, the Northern Cancer Foundation & Funds are hosting their 2016 Cancer Centre Walk/Run for Hope! The run will take place at the William Bell Gazebo at Bell Park, with registration beginning at 10:00am and the walk/run at 11:00am. This year, participants have the option to partake in a 1km, 3km, or 5km route. Registration fee is $35, which includes a Cancer Centre Walk/Run for Hope T-Shirt and lunch. FCR: cooking up a storm for Relay For Life & Heart and Stroke!

On Friday, May 13th Freelandt Caldwell Reilly LLP (FCR) hosted a block BBQ outside their office to raise funds and awareness for the Relay for Life and Heart & Stroke Big Bike – two events members of their staff participate in every year. The FCR Community Development Committee organized the BBQ and they invited corporate colleagues and nearby business associates. The entire city felt the loss May 2015 when beloved radio host Rich Griffin passed away suddenly. The loss was not entirely without hope though as Rich, a registered organ donor was able to save 5 lives and impact countless others. “Rich had a big heart, and it now beats on. Canadian Cancer Society will Paint the Downtown Yellow!

Did you know that April is Daffodil Month? The Canadian Cancer Society hosts Daffodil Month, their largest campaign, to raise funds for vital cancer research and support services. Last year, in honour of Daffodil Month, the Canadian Cancer Society, Sudbury& District office created Paint the Downtown Yellow – which raised $1,486.87 –  and the Bankers Corner Challenge – which raised $6,403.57 overall.
