Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Sudbury Comedy Festival is excited to announce The Debaters Live on Tour! The comedy stage show where comics go toe to toe in a battle of laughs and logic, and the audience picks the winner! The Debaters Live on Tour is one of LOL Sudbury’s Main Stage shows during the 2018 edition of the Festival. You can catch this performance on Saturday, March 17th at the Fraser Auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m. This special live event features host Steve Patterson, as well as Dave Hemstad and Kate Davis, performing stand-up and two hilarious debates in the format made popular by the hit nationally broadcast Canadian radio program. These all-new comedic clashes will not be recorded, so get your tickets now for a once in a lifetime experience. STEVE PATTERSON has been a professional headliner since 1997 and has taped numerous national television specials in the past decade including four Just For Laughs galas. His performance in 2010 earned him a Gemini nomination. DAVE HEMSTAD is a three-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee who. In addition to his half-hourComedy Now Special on CTV and his Gala appearance at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival, he has taped appearances for both the Halifax and Winnipeg Comedy Festivals for CBC. KATE DAVIS has headlined across Canada and Europe,and starred in her own hour-long comedy special on CTV and the Comedy Network.Kate was a finalist in respected comedy competitions including, Toronto’s“Last Comic Standing” and NBC’s “Stand up for Diversity” and is a twelve-time nominee at the Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Female Standup and the prestigious Phil Hartman Award. Fagroongala is a Celtic trio who compose, arrange, and perform original and traditional music from Canada and the UK, in both French and English. To reveal the depth and contrast of emotions in lyrics as well as instrumental music, the band’s repertoire draws not only from Celtic roots but also classical music, funk, and other popular styles. Fagroongala's songs, many of which predate Canadian confederation, are adapted with modern instrumentation, rhythms and harmony.
