Featuring more than 20 hit Queen songs, We Will Rock You follows two revolutionaries as they try to save Rock in a post apocalyptic world. Featuring the songs “Another One Bites the Dust”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Killer Queen”, “We Will Rock You”, “Somebody To Love”, “We Are the Champions”, “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and many more. After a victorious 12-year reign and having rocked over 7 million people in a record-breaking run, We Will Rock You played it’s final West End performance on May 31, 2014 and achieved the distinction of becoming the longest-running show ever at London’s Dominion Theatre. We Will Rock You has been performed in 28 countries around the globe and seen by more than 16 million people. Myths & Mirrors 6th Annual Dance-a-thon

Bust a move for community arts! Myths and Mirrors is thrilled to announce the 6th edition of the much-anticipated Dance-A-Thon fundraiser. The event will take place from 3pm to 3am on Saturday May 26th at La Fromagerie (80 Elgin St.). The theme for this year’s event is the ’70s so participants are encouraged to dress up as their favourite ’70s icons. Non-stop music will be curated by amazing local DJs and the night includes great prizes for top pledge earners, best costumes, and more. Visit raiseathon.ca/mythsdance to register as an individual or team of up to 4 dancers and start collecting pledges from friends, family, and co-workers. Does dancing for 12 hours sound a little daunting? No problem, just come and dance and have a good time. Stay as long as you like. Those who just aren’t really dancers, or who can’t make it, can still make a contribution at raiseathon.ca/mythsdance. The event is about “stepping up” to a fun challenge, while supporting community arts projects that make a real difference in our community. 100% of the proceeds will go towards outreach and youth programs at Myths and Mirrors, giving opportunities for personal and collective creative expression to those rarely get the chance. 4th Annual Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope MOVE - Kivi Park Fitness Series (Event) Sunday, May 27th at Kivi Park 10 am - Registration 11:00 am - Race Start Distances: 1,3km, 5km and 10km The Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) would like to invite the community to take part in the 4th annual Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope, which will be taking place at Kivi Park on May 27, 2018. Registration will take place at 10:00 am and Walk/Run/Bike to start at 11:00 am. The event will offer four different distances -1km, 3km, 5km and 10 km - with all routes running through scenic trails at Kivi Park. Registration fee is $35, which includes a T-Shirt and lunch. Participants are encouraged to raise funds by collecting pledges. Children ages 12 and under can take part for free! * New this year for participants - if you raise $100 and over in pledges we will waive your $35 registration fee! 100% of the monies raised will support the Northeast Cancer Centre for patient care, equipment and research. Looking to optimize your health and wellness during your pregnancy and prep for that big, exciting day? Join Meg Kant, from Northern Mama Maternal Services and Yoga Teacher Cayla Bronicheski for a one-of-kind workshop focused on preparing for birth and learning how prenatal yoga can benefit your pregnancy, birth experience and postpartum healing! Meg will take you through everything you need to know about the stages of labour, comfort measures during each stage, options for your birth, and the first days with your newborn - including breastfeeding, infant sleep, mama wellness and more. Cayla will then guide you through a prenatal yoga session as you learn about poses for relieving pregnancy discomfort, poses to prep for your body and mind for birth, modifications so you can safely do yoga during every trimester of your pregnancy, and how to make prenatal yoga a regular practice during this exciting chapter of your life! Mamas and birth partners welcome to attend this session.
