FCR: cooking up a storm for Relay For Life & Heart and Stroke!

On Friday, May 13^th Freelandt Caldwell Reilly LLP (FCR) hosted a block BBQ outside their office to raise funds and awareness for the Relay for Life and Heart & Stroke Big Bike – two events members of their staff participate in every year.

The FCR Community Development Committee organized the BBQ and they invited corporate colleagues and nearby business associates. Volunteers from FCR set up the venue under a corporate tent and served visitors hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages provided by the “Dog Father” (Joe and Casey Reilly) as well as drinks and a baking table.

Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. they served 224 patrons and were able to raise $1278!

The BBQ was a great way to bring together business partners and raise money for two incredible causes, overall the BBQ was an excellent way to get excited for the weekend and kick-start the summer season!

FCR is a Sudbury-based chartered public accounting firm with 80 employees providing a full suite of accounting/assurance/advisory/tax services to Northern Ontario owner-managed businesses and public service organizations. As a community oriented firm having the opportunity to organize and deliver community events is an excellent way to have staff engage with local organizations at a grass roots level.
