Back again the Northern Series presented by Porter Airlines, offers free concerts by emerging artists from Northern Ontario in small downtown venues between 5 and 7 p.m. Not good with others, Timmins-born Jamie Gia is a loop performer and one woman band. Her music is reminiscent of a time when guitars were fuzzy and plaid was baggy. Evidence exists supporting the theory that she may bite, however the significance of these findings may be artificially inflated due to small sample size. JAMIE GIA
