Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant

Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant is an annual event that takes place in Sudbury every May. This year there are 44 contestants from all over Northern Ontario. The winner receives over $10,000 in prizes as well as a $2,000 cash scholarship! We spoke with Cheryl Kozera, President, about the pageant and what the weekend will consist of. Miss North Ontario Delegates Raising Money for a Great Cause

Miss North Ontario Pageant takes place next month and we had the opportunity to talk to one of the delegates, Jessica Usitalo, about her upcoming fundraising events and why she chose to participate! Jessica is hosting a Pool Tournament for Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer this Friday, April 29th at Rhythm ‘n’ Cues. The Canadian Cancer Society Sudbury & District is hosting the 2nd annual Paint the Downtown Yellow after party! This event is designed to celebrate all the support that Downtown Sudbury has shown the society for Daffodil Month. Canadian Cancer Society will Paint the Downtown Yellow!

Did you know that April is Daffodil Month? The Canadian Cancer Society hosts Daffodil Month, their largest campaign, to raise funds for vital cancer research and support services. Last year, in honour of Daffodil Month, the Canadian Cancer Society, Sudbury& District office created Paint the Downtown Yellow – which raised $1,486.87 –  and the Bankers Corner Challenge – which raised $6,403.57 overall.
