Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant is an annual event that takes place in Sudbury every May. This year there are 44 contestants from all over Northern Ontario. Did you know that April is Daffodil Month? The Canadian Cancer Society hosts Daffodil Month, their largest campaign, to raise funds for vital cancer research and support services. Last year, in honour of Daffodil Month, the Canadian Cancer Society, Sudbury& District office created Paint the Downtown Yellow – which raised $1,486.87 – and the Bankers Corner Challenge – which raised $6,403.57 overall.
