Welcome to another edition of Crater Conversations, a weekly show live on CKLU now on at a brand spanking new time Tuesday’s at 5PM! So, what exactly is the show all about? Join your host, Crater co-founder Jess, each week as we sit down with a local guest. We’ll talk about their projects, their passions, and the things they love about our little rock town! We’ll be sitting down with performers, entrepreneurs, community leaders – anyone with a story. Personal anecdotes, first inspirations, childhood follies, who knows where this will take us but we can’t wait to find out! Can’t catch the show on air? No worries, all our episodes will be posted online afterwards for easy listening. If you’re inclined to tune in live turn your radio dial to CKLU 96.7 or stream live at https://www.cklu.ca/ 5PM every Tuesday.

The sexiest show of the season is upon us with the return of Sudbury Burlesque’s Monster’s Ball 4: A Night at the Haunted Theatre! For the past three years running the troupe has been decking out The Grand for Halloween and putting on one heck of a show, this years edition is October 26th & 27th. This event is always a sell out and tickets are getting increasingly scarce by the moment so if you’ve been on the fence its time to jump off (tickets here). Costumes are highly encouraged with a slew of awesome prizes to give away each night, and let us just say, this crowd does not come to play! One things for sure Sudbury Burlesque sure knows how to throw a party so don’t get left out! We got the scoop for the fourth edition of Monster’s Ball and this time we’re shining the spotlight on the boys of burlesque. Colin Eadie (EMC Unicorn/Brenda from Accounting) and Marty Bourgeois (Jack Rabbit Slim) are two key members of the boylesque contingent of the troupe, we sat with them to talk about how they got started, preparing for this years show and how they invented their stage personas. Tune in to this weeks episode here and check out our Spotify playlist here.
