Join your host, Crater co-founder Jess, each week as we sit down with a local guest. We’ll talk about their projects, their passions, and the things they love about our little rock town! We’ll be sitting down with performers, entrepreneurs, community leaders – anyone with a story. Personal anecdotes, first inspirations, childhood follies, who knows where this will take us but we can’t wait to find out! Can’t catch the show on air? No worries, all our episodes will be posted online afterwards for easy listening. If you’re inclined to tune in live turn your radio dial to CKLU 96.7 or stream live at https://www.cklu.ca/ 5PM every Tuesday.

Makers North has taken the city by storm with their unique market events in the last few years! They have managed to bring together a collective of creators like no other with offerings ranging from illustrations, skin care & beauty products, jewellery, and home goods. Each Makers North market is carefully curated so there’s always something new for shoppers to check out. Their events have quickly become our personal favourite for all our gift giving needs! Tracy Baker is one of the founders of Makers North along with Jullieanne Steedman (Heirloom Island), and both makers themselves. They met clandestinely at a craft show and decided to put their heads together to see how they could elevate the experience for sellers and shoppers. Their first Makers Market was a huge success and they’ve been working at it ever since! Tracy loves working with other makers to develop their brand, improve their displays and develop the confidence to stand proudly behind their product. You can find Tracy’s creations under Yellow House where she creates the cutest custom and fan illustrations. Follow Yellow House on Instagram and Facebook to see her doodles every day and use #drawmeyellowhouse for the chance to be featured! Tune in to this weeks episode here, and jam out to our Spotify playlist here.
