The celebration of Stax records and Memphis Soul continues. This band has been a special project for 3 years now. Once again bringing in 3 special teams… the Townehouse house musicians of many years… Ryan, Pepper, Matt, Paul… the amazing singers… Nadia, Anita, Jennifer… the horns… Melanie, Cathy, Darcy… to come together as a tight unit that plays the greatest soul music ever written from Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, The Staple Singers, Ray Charles, Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett, Etta James and so much more. It looks like we might pay tribute with a song or two from Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley, modern soul singers who recently passed.
