SCIENCE NORTH IMAX®: The Next Generation

Last month, Science North’s IMAX® Theatre was closed for some pretty awesome upgrades. The theatre reopened February 6, 2016, with the world’s most state-of-the-art advanced cinema technology–IMAX with Laser, the third of its kind in Canada (after ScotiaBank Theatre in Toronto and TELUS World of Science in Edmonton). With this new laser system, Science North’s IMAX Theatre can now offer the best cinematic programming for their documentaries and feature-length films. Bring your creative ideas to life with the Imaginate Exhibit at Science North

The Imaginate exhibition is a fun and highly interactive exhibit that encourages creativity and innovation. Imaginate is a 6000 square foot exhibit that was developed by the Ontario Science Centre and has been at Reuben H. Chocolate Pumpkin Squares

If you’re looking for a delicious vegan and gluten-free dessert, you need to try these chocolate pumpkin squares! Ingredients: Bottom Layer 1 cup of Pecans 2 tbsp of Cocoa powder 2 tbsp of Chia seeds ¼ cup of maple syrup 2 tbsp of grapeseed oil Directions: Process pecans in a food processor until grain size, then add all other ingredients and process until blended. Friday, March 4 Free Nordic Skiing – The event will be located at the stadium chalet of the Nordic skiing club. It is located on the far side of the track and field stadium. When traveling to the Ben Avery building you will take a right just before the fence starts for the track and field stadium and continue on that road until you can take a left into a small parking lot.
