SUDBURY STORYTELLERS WITH GSPL: SARAH MAY

SUDBURY STORYTELLERS WITH GSPL: SARAH MAY

Knowing we have many writers in our local area, we wanted to start a feature to highlight some of them to bring their work to a broader audience. The Greater Sudbury Public Library comes across some of these writers on a regular basis and we are continuously introduced to new writers and new books to add to our shelves. Are you a local writer? Let us know and we can feature you in an upcoming month, shoot us an email at jessica.watts@greatersudbury.ca!

Who are you and how long have you been writing?
My name is Sarah May and I am a freelance author from Sudbury, Ontario.  I have lived in Sudbury all my life and love our Northern community, especially the Downtown core. I have always enjoyed writing and dreamed of becoming an author when I was a child.
Haunted Sudbury is my first book. I have other projects in the works, namely a sequel Haunted Sudbury: Murdered. Missing. Unexplained. that is set to be released Winter 2019. It is a book about unsolved murdered and missing women in Sudbury.

What is your book called and where can people get it?
My book is called
Haunted Sudbury: 101 True Accounts of the Paranormal. It is available to borrow at the local public library or to purchase from Jan Browning Boutique, Sudbury Custom Paint & Framing and Bay Used Books. Shop local! Support our Downtown.

How would you describe your book?
Haunted Sudbury: 101 True Accounts of the Paranormal,  as the title suggests, is a collection of one hundred and one accounts of local paranormal experiences and historical crime.

Where can people find you online?

You can follow me for updates on future releases on my author account here or find me at www.hauntedsudbury.ca.

Jessica Watts is the Coordinator of Outreach, Programs and Partnerships at the Greater Sudbury Public Library. Her job usually involves the parts of the public library that people don't associate with libraries like snowshoes, theatre passes and special events. She loves talking about books, especially over a caramel latte at Salute, and is always in the middle of reading 2 or 3 books at a time.. or, more honestly, 4 or 5!
