THEATRE CAMBRIAN BRINGS ANNIE TO LIFE IN FEBRUARY!

Theatre Cambrian is bringing Annie, one of the most beloved family musicals to the stage February 6-16, 2020 in collaboration with Sudbury Theatre Centre. A crew of over 30 dedicated artists are bringing this production together chock full of local talent. Get the whole gang out to see everyone’s favourite precocious red-headed orphan in action! Taking on the titular role of Annie is Marymount Academy grade 9 student, Ava Levecque. Directed and choreographed by John McHenry, with music director Simon Landry, ANNIE also features the talents of Dennis Cropper as Daddy Warbucks, Samantha Onski as Grace Farrell, Leane Koskela as Miss Hannigan, Jude Alexander as Rooster, Violet Greer as Lily St Regis, Jeff McNeil as President Roosevelt, and our ensemble of Noah Ball, Marissa Charette, Isabelle Constantineau, Niamh Cunningham-Closs, Andrew Desabrais, Cullen Doucette, Keaghan Durcher, Dylan Gingras, Ada King Gold, Ella Koskela, Grace Reich, Riley Schafer, Karly Thornton, and Sarah Tyler. The cast is completed with 12 local girls playing the orphans: Madeleine Bayliss, Alice Cropper, Gaia Dhatt, Lily Grynspan, Kendra Jackson, Skyler Kenwell, Zoe Langille, Edee Mccall, Marley Newell-Barrette, Samantha Shewchuk, Janessa Smania, Ella Vaillancourt.

Set in 1930s New York during The Great Depression, brave young orphan Annie is forced to live in a miserable orphanage run by the wicked Miss Hannigan. Her hard knock life takes an unexpected turn when the plucky redhead is chosen to spend a fairy tale holiday with famous billionaire industrialist, Oliver Warbucks. This show features nostalgic classics like “Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” and the uplifting anthem “Tomorrow.”

ANNIE runs, February 6-16 at Sudbury Theatre Centre.
