I have been asked in the past where I buy some of my favourite fashion items, and now I am here to spill all my secrets. But first, one thing you need to know: I’m a bargain hunter. I always invest in quality pieces that I know will last a long time and work for many seasons, but I can’t resist hitting up shops like H&M, Forever 21, Marshalls, and Gap. I’m always on the hunt for in-style items at the best price.

Fashion Tip #1: Don’t be fooled by designer

Brand names are great, don’t get me wrong. They’re trendy, high-fashion, and coveted by most.

BUT when defining personal style, you don’t always need to buy the most expensive piece on the rack. Be sure to check out stores like H&M, Topshop, and Marshalls for similar (and affordable) styles. Developing a personal style is about showing your personality through what you wear, and that doesn’t always mean that there have to be brand name labels attached!

For example, I love this camel jacket. A lot. It’s comfortable, on trend, and I can’t believe that I found it for $20 (REGULAR PRICE) at Urban Planet. Seriously!

The jeans are from Forever 21 (similar style here) which is SHOCKING to me because they have lasted for four years. I swear, that store may look insane from the outside, but there are quite a few hidden gems inside.

The clutch is also an H&M find. (similar style here), and the watch is from Aldo. If you’re like me, you can’t have nice things because you will break them. So, I opted for a more affordable watch ***with interchangeable straps*** so I can wear it with every outfit!

This necklace is one of my favourite accessories. It is from a vintage shop on Queen West in Toronto called Philistine. Highly recommend checking it out next time you’re down south!
