Get ready to freshen up your wardrobe with new-to-you fashions that will make you feel like you’re taking a step back in time! March 1st marks the opening of Starlotte Satine Vintage (25 Elgin St) and the first veritable vintage haven to make its home in Sudbury in years! This fall Downtown Sudbury announced Starlotte Satine Vintage as the winner of their second Win-This-Space competition. The program saw entrepreneur hopefuls participate in a number of business building exercises with the Regional Business Centre for the chance at free rent for a year at a Downtown storefront! Starlotte has been hosting pop-up events over the last couple years, bringing her inventory of carefully selected pieces to different locations. In June 2018 Starlotte Satine along with Sudbury Burlesque hosted the very first Vintage Prom, the event was a sell out! The raving response to the event solidified that there was inf act a home for vintage in the Nickel City.

You can join Starlotte and her crew for a ribbon cutting and champagne popping to celebrate the official opening of the store at noon on March 1st. Enjoy an afternoon of shopping and hunt for some new treasures with clothing and accessories ranging from 20s-90s for men and women. Make-up By Aly Goo and Glow Makeup Artistry will even be on hand to give you the bombshell look to complete your outfit. If that’s not enough fun for you, grab a ticket to the evening portion of the Grand Opening event! Catch performances from Sudbury Burlesque performers Miss Cheri Tarte & Serpentina, musical performances from The Sweet Juliettes and Doras DLight – Vintage Vocals by Dora Bones, and authentic vintage cocktails from The Alibi Room! Mz Jones Boudoir is a small Canadian business based in Ottawa, ON. that specializes in breathing new life into vintage lingerie and boudoir accessories. Her carefully curated collection offers a wide variety of pieces from the 20s-80s in many different styles and sizes and you’ll also be able to find her vintage inspired hair flowers that add the right amount of sparkle to any vintage outfit in the shop as well!

Kitt On A Box

Taking it back to the vintage era when having on site seamstresses working, making, and altering was all the rage, we couldn’t help but bring the art of sewing back into the spotlight. She’s known for her creativity in the Cosplay and theatre world locally and has been designing and creating fashion pieces for almost 8 years now. She’s currently attending Toronto Film School for Fashion Design and is also a graduate from The Fashion Techniques and Design program at George Brown College which makes her knowledge as a seamstress extensive and the perfect fit for the job.
