ENJOY THE VIP EXPERIENCE WITH DOWNTOWN MOVIE LOUNGE

I know we’re all sick of seeing photos of all our friends down south at the movies with their cushy reclining chairs and enjoying a nice glass of wine or a beer at their seats. Good news is we don’t have to be jealous anymore! With the opening of Sudbury’s latest theatre the Downtown Movie Lounge it’s time to get comfortable and enjoy the high life in their new location at the former Rainbow Cinema. We got in touch with Downtown Movie Lounge and got the scoop on our latest addition to the entertainment scene.

Tell us more about Downtown Movie Lounge and the movie going experience at the new theater

This is an upscale movie experience – VIP reclining seats, spectacular sound and very intimate theatre rooms – all new speakers, projectors, ceiling tile, sound panels, etc.  You can even reserve your specific seat.

How has the public reception been to this new upscale experience?

We open Thursday, May 19th and we can’t wait to hear what folks think. We have had about 100 people through (we invite everyone in) and they are all amazed at what we have done – people can’t believe they are in Sudbury with this experience.

Tell us more about the decision to open a location in Sudbury?

Sudbury is an underserved market with only 12 screens.  We have been watching this market for a while and have had many people contact us about the opportunities that this market presents.  We have been looking at this location for a while and we were aware of what the city was trying to do with the revitalization of the downtown.  The downtown has a real cool, funky vibe to it and we thought that people that come downtown to enjoy a great dinner would also enjoy a unique movie experience.

Where can we follow Downtown Movie Lounge and find information on showtimes?

Follow Downtown Movie Lounge on facebook as well as www.imaginecinemas.com has our showtimes.  Contesting (free tickets!) is also found on our facebook page so keep your eye peeled!
