The holidays have arrived and it’s time to bust out those ugly Christmas sweaters and sequins dresses. Can you believe 2016 is almost over? After one of the craziest years yet, we are really looking forward to kicking off 2017 so today we’ve rounded up some of the best ways to ring in 2017 in Sudbury!

New Year’s Eve Family Fun Day – Science North is hosting a family fun day with giant board games, build your own game controller, dance party in the BodyZone, live science shows, face painting and Hands on with Exotics. Admission is $15 for members and $25 for general admission. 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. @ Science North – 100 Ramsey Lake Road

New Beer’s Eve Bash – $90 will get you a ticket to a beer fest with all you can eat dinner buffet and new beer featured every hour on the hour. There will be live entertainment, a dance floor, giveaways and a late night buffet and a Stack Ball Drop toast at midnight. 6:00 p.m. @ the Clarion Hotel – The Worthington Room

Cousin Vinny’s New Years Eve Party – Your $50 ticket includes a 4-course dinner, party favours, champagne toast and shuttle servicer to anywhere in the Greater City of Sudbury. New Years Eve at Taphouse Ft. Live music by the Zone – Choose from 25 taps and listen to live music performed by The Zone. Tickets ate $20 and there will be food and drink specials throughout the night. Your ticket includes a champagne toast and party favours. 8:00 p.m. @ Taphouse Northern Grill + Pub – 1500 Regent Street

Sudbury: New Years Eve at Boardwalk – Chance to WIN Cash – Do you want to win some money on New Year’s Eve? Head to Boardwalk Gaming and you could win up to $10,000 in cash prizes. Tickets are $25. 8:00 p.m. @ Boardwalk Gaming Sudbury – 940 Newgate Avenue 

Peddler’s Pub New Years Eve – This will be the first time ever that Peddler’s Pub will be open on New Year’s Eve. No tickets necessary and there will be no cover charge – party for fee with complimentary Champaign and party favours. Music by DJ Vinelle and the ball drop will be on the big screen. 9:00 p.m. @ Peddler’s Pub – 63 Cedar Street

New Years Eve – Dance the night away at Zigs with music from DJ MYDRIASIS. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door and they include a champagne toast, late night buffet, coat service and party favours. 9:00 p.m. @ Zigs Bar – 54 Elgin Street

The Co-Operative New Year’s Eve! – The Cooperative is a celebration of the greatest pop and dance music of a generation and they will be performing live at the Townehouse Tavern. .Tickets are $25 and you will get your choice of hats, noisemakers and other party favours. There will be a midnight meal and toast. 9:00 p.m. @ The Townehouse Tavern – 206 Elgin Street

New Year’s Eve party – Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Ferrigan’s Pub in Garson with DJ Kydd Chris. 9:00 p.m. @ Ferrigan’s Pub – 20 Birch Street
