Strong Kids Family Day Carnival – Join us for swimming, face painting, obstacle courses, TRX Strong Kids Challenge, carnival games, prizes and more! This event is free for members and open to the public via a donation to our 2017 Strong Kids Campaign. For child protection purposes we ask that all non-members 16+ please sign in with photo I.D. Strong Kids is the YMCA’s charitable mission. This campaign makes it possible for all members of our Sudbury community to learn and grow at the YMCA despite any financial barriers one might face. Winner takes home bragging rights and some awesome prizes are given out throughout the game! Cost: $5 – 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. @ Taphouse Northern Grill + Pub – 1500 Regent Street

Night Lights Race Series Event #4: Headlamp – Our last event of the series. Test your speed at our Night Lights Race Series. Open to everyone – fast or slow, young or old – ski one event, ski all four, just ski before you sleep! Registration: takes place in the chalet from 6:15 – 6:30. Races start at 7:00 PM. Prizes awarded following each race, and for the overall series winners. The big hardware is handed out tonight!!! Contact us at program@waldenxc.ca for more information. Dinner & A Show with Sarah MacDougall – For someone who now calls Whitehorse, Yukon home, award-winning singer-songwriter Sarah MacDougall sure gets around!  In November she was touring the UK. Now, having just left Australia, she is performing this weekend at a Canada 150 event at Ottawa’s Winterlude festival. Then on February 17 she will be featured at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. In May she performs in Denmark. But most importantly to us, on Thursday, February 23 she will take the stage here in Sudbury as part of The Motley Kitchen’s popular Dinner & A Show series. Trio Tangere – Trio Tangere is an exciting new ensemble with the uncommon combination of two guitars and violin. The three members, Marc Djokic, violin, Jérôme Ducharme and Louis Trépanier, guitars, were already established virtuosi when they started performing together; from the first notes of the first rehearsal, they knew they had a magical simpatico in their playing.
