All of the breweries at Northern Ontario Microbrew Festival

IT’s finally here! My favourite festival of the year – the Northern Ontario Microbrew Festival. This Friday and Saturday you can head to the Caruso Club and taste some of the best craft beer Ontario has to offer!

46 North Brewing Corp – This is about to be Sudbury’s newest brewery and we cannot wait to taste their brews at the festival. The brewery will be opening this Spring with 4 beers and they plan to brew everything, from ales to IPAs to stouts and sours.

Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. – You probably caught Beau’s at one of the last few festivals and I guarantee you enjoyed all they had to offer. Beau’s has been around since 2006 and they have won over 100 awards for brewing, package design and business practices. You can find the brewery in Vankleek Hill.

Collective Arts Brewing – Collective Arts Brewing brings beer and art together and was founded on the belief that creativity fosters creativity. Each can is designed by artists around the world and is filled with their delicious beer. Their brewery is located in Hamilton, Ontario.

Full Beard Brewing Co. – Since 2017, Full Beard Brewing Co. has been brewing out of Timmins, Ontario. The brewery’s signature beer is the Five O’Clock Shadow, described as a “clean, crisp ale with a hint of bitterness,” that appeals to a wide range of palettes.

Gateway City Brewery – One of our newest Northern Ontario breweries, Gateway City opened in North Bay at the end of 2018. Head brewmaster John Palko has put together a lineup of great beers and the partners Sully Sullivan, Jeff Hodge and Mike Perreault have created a snack menu that is all vegan!

Lake of Woods Brewing Company – Located in Baysville, with a Brewhouse in Huntsville, Lake of Bays opened n 2010. Their philosophy is to make great beer, run a down to earth business, and have some file while they’re at it – and we think they are doing a great job!

Left Field Brewery – I’m excited to see one of my favourite Toronto breweries at this years festival! Left Field Brewing brews a series of baseball-inspired, distinct and full-flavoured beers. We hope they bring their Cactus League Prickly Pear Gose!

Lock Street Brewing Company – Lock Street Brewing Company follow the German Purity Law of reinheitsgebot and try to use only four ingredients: water, malt, yeast and hops. There beers that require an additional ingredient are all 100% organic and sourced naturally. Lock Street Brewing Company is located in St. Catharines.

Manitoulin Brewing Company – If you’re local to Sudbury, you’ve definitely tried Manitoulin Brewing Company! Located on beautiful Manitoulin Island, the brewery offers a variety of beers that will remind you of some of your favourite local spots!

New Ontario Brewing Company – Since 2015, New Ontario Brewing Company has been combining creativity and fresh ingredients to make delicious beers. Their mission is to bring the craft beer revolution to North Bay and I think it’s safe to say the people there are happy they opened!

Northern Superior Brewing Co. – Located in Sault Sainte Marie, the brewery has been part of the community for over 100 years. There were quite a few shifts in the time since, but since the 2000s the brewery has been owned by a group of local entrepreneurs and they have been working to craft the same great taste as the original brewery.

Sawdust City Brewery – Located in Gravenhurst Ontario, the gateway to Muskoka, Sawdust City Brewing Company is dedicated to the art and science of creating exceptional craft beers. They have six year-round core brands and brew exceptional seasonal offerings, exciting limited batch brews, barrel-aged and experimental beers – something for everyone!

Sleeping Giant Brewing Co. – All the way from Thunder Bay, Sleeping Giant Brewing Co. brews unique craft beer with quality ingredients to delight novice and sophisticated beer drinkers in their community. We hope they bring their aware winning Northern Logger.

Split Rail Brewing Co. – I first tried Split Rail Brewing Co. at one of the previous Northern Ontario Microbrew Festivals and instantly fell in love with the Hawberry Ale! Located on Manitoulin Island, Split Rail Brewing Co. opened their brewery in 2015 in Gore Bay with a beautiful licensed patio that make frequent trips to in the summer months.

Trestle Brewing Company – This small independently owned craft brewery is located in downtown Parry Sound on the waterfront. We hope they bring their flagship IPA, 30 000 Islands IPA!

Stack Brewing – We all know Stack Brewing – Sudbury’s own and VERY FIRST brewery – the organizers of our favourite festival and the tasty geniuses behind many of our favourite brews. We’re very excited to see what they bring to the festival this year!

There will also be a few guest taps at the fest from Bandit Brewery, Bellwoods Brewery, Blood Brothers Brewing and Indie Ale House.

As you can see, there is no shortage of amazing breweries in Ontario and we can’t wait to spend our weekend sipping on some new beers!
