SUDBURY MIGHT BE THE WEDDING CAPITAL OF THE NORTH!

We already knew we loved Sudbury, but as it turns out this might be one of the best cities to be in love in too! Sudbury was well represented at the recent Ontario Wedding Awards in Sudbury and really stood out among the many spectacular wedding vendors nominated! Top wedding professionals from across the province were recognized for their excellence and dedication to making couple’s wedding dreams come true. Notably, a few Sudbury entrepreneurs were honoured with top awards in their categories, Guilty Pleasure’s Bakeshop + Bar took home Cake Designer of the Year, Lavish Events & Florals were awarded Florist of the Year, and aKaiserPhoto was selected as Photographer of the Year! We couldn’t be more proud to see Sudbury shine among the best in the wedding industry. Guilty Pleasure’s Bakeshop + Bar

Justine Martin is a self-taught baker and cake decorator who has been perfecting her skills since 2015. In 2018, Guilty Pleasures opened its doors after being crowned top entrepreneur in Downtown Sudbury’s Win This Space competition. In addition to being Ontario’s top Cake Designer of the year, she has also been recognized as The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2018 + 2019, third place winner in ‘Sculpted Cake’ category of RBA Pillsbury Bakers Plus Grand Champion Creative Decorating Competition in Las Vegas (not to mention the only Canadian team represented). Justine loves working closely with couples to create a cake that perfectly suits their personality and style. Her cakes are always on trend and with the help of her team, she works tirelessly to achieve the perfect vision! Having tasted a number of her goodies we can attest that her baking tastes just as good as it looks!

Michael Kaiser is a photographer we’ve had our eyes on for a long time. He seems to be able to capture something special about every couple he shoots! We love his willingness to go the extra mile to get an amazing shot sometimes shooting on skates on Nina’s Way at Kivi Park, amazing aerial shots in the wilderness, and even on a suspension bridge in Squamish! His unique ability to capture playful and natural moments between two love birds make him one of our favourite photographers to follow. aKaiser was recognized as Wedding Photographer of the Year at the Ontario Wedding Awards – an amazing credit for his hard work and dedication.
