Top 5 Biking and Running Trails in Sudbury

One of the best ways to explore our city is by getting out for a run or hopping on your bike. We are lucky to have so many amazing biking and running trails around Sudbury that you really should be exploring. Whether you want to get out for a short 2km or challenge yourself to the full 10km, today we’re sharing five of our favourites for all skill levels!

Bell Park Boardwalk – 2km

Easy. The most well known on the list, the Bell Park boardwalk is a great place for a walk. This is a paved path that takes you along the shores of Ramsey Lake, you’ll be treated to some great views and you can end your walk or run with a dip in the lake.

Lake Laurentian Conservation Area to Moonlight – 3.5km

Moderate. Picturesque views of Lake Laurentian, this trail offers several other self-guided trails along the way.

Lasalle to Maley Drive – 4km

Easy. This easy trail follows along Junction Creek and takes you through Twin Forks park in New Sudbury.

Kelly Lake Trail – 4.5km

Easy to moderate. This trail can either be a 4.5km trail or a 3.5km loop and the first 1km is wheelchair accessible. You’ll be able to visit a bird sanctuary and see beautiful views of Kelly Lake.

Vermillion River to Hillfield – 10km

Easy to moderate. Walk, bike or snowshoe this 10km trail that crosses over Vermillion River and Simon Lake.
