VALENTINE'S EVENTS TO CHECK OUT THIS WEEKEND

The day of love has arrived and as usual, there is a lot happening in our favourite city to celebrate this special day. Treat your valentine to a comedy show, try out a yoga class or indulge in some delicious wine and cheers. Whether you’re celebrating tomorrow or this weekend – we’ve rounded up events happening Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Thursday, February 14

Italian Shades of Grey – Valentine’s Day Show, Dinner, Dance and Comedian Show @Italian Club – 5pm

Head to the Italian Club in Copper Cliff for a night of delicious food, comedy and dancing.

Valentines w. Your Favourite Alibi @ The Alibi Room – 7pm-9pm

The Alibi Room hasteamed up with the incredible Guilty Pleasures Bakeshop to bring you adeliciously romantic, grown and sexy valentine’s day! They have puttogether 3 fantastic packages for you to spend your favourite Alibi in one ofthe most romantic rooms in town. Valentine’s Day Wine& Cheer Pairing @ La Fromagerie – 7pm-10pm

Join La Fromagerie fortheir annual Valentines Day Wine & Cheese Pairing! You will be treated to four wines& four cheeses paired perfectly with live music by Hugh Jazz. Tickets are$35 per person.

Friday, February 15 

Yoga and Wine @ SRO– 6pm

The Friday February 15thEdition of Zen’s much beloved Yoga and Wine event is being held at SRO. Packages start at $50 and admissionis available to purchase through zenlife.ca or secure a place by contacting ZenFitness via phone, messenger or zenstudiosudbury@gmail.com

Friday Night Valentines Swing Dance @ St. Volodymyr Church – 7pm-10:30pm

Don’t have a date on Valentine’s Day? Have a date on Valentine’s Day and want to do something different and special? Swing by and join Sudbury Swing Dance for their Valentine Dance in the basement hall of the St. Volodymyr Church. Admission is$5 and you don’t need a date to participate.

Saturday, February 16

Mystic Valentine @Tree of Life North – 10am-3pm

Join Sharon Alkenbrack (medium), Richard N. Malette (astrology), Andrew Michael Derson (intuitive tarot )and Michelle Laferriere (intuitive tarot) for a day of fun at the Tree! Readings will be $30 for 30 minutes and this is a cash only event. Call 705-671-2000 to book.

Mystery Dinner Valentine’s Day Edition @ La Fromagerie – 7pm-11pm

Join The Fromo for theirValentine’s Day Version of their Mystery Dinner. If you can guess all three courses, your meal is on them. Music by Elmer Jackson.

Head Over Heels @Zen Fitness – 7pm

On the weekend following Valentine’s Day we celebrate LOVE with another student and staff showcase featuring all that Zen Fitness has come to embrace for all of who grace our space. Featuring pole, heels & hip-hop solos & group routines from students and staff plus the cheer dance squad Queens of the Underground from The Sudbury Five. 

HOT Skate Night @Queen’s Athletic Field – 7pm-9pm

Celebrate Valentine’s a couple days late by taking your valentine skating! Join HOT 93.5 for HOT SkateNight at Queen’s Athletic Field.  

Valentine’s Throwback Party @ Zigs – 10pm

DJ BUBBA and Zig’s are throwing back the music and someprices at their Valentine’s Throwback Party this Saturday. There will be lotsof party games and contests throughout the night and one lucky winner will wina basket of gifts! Cover is $5.
