Documentary Producing 101 with Jeannette Loakman – Ready to enter the world of producing non-fiction? Join the Documentary Organization of Canada and the DOC Institute for three interactive sessions designed for early-career producers and led by industry expert, Jeannette Loakman. Gain real-world insight as the program kicks off at Cinéfest Sudbury. The in-person session will provide an overview of some of the essential components to producing a doc successfully. Attendees from Sudbury’s session will then get access to two subsequent webinars that focus on pressing topics for producers: financing your film and engaging your audience. 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. @ SilverCity Sudbury – 355 Barrydowne Road

STN: When Netflix met Marvel – 3 rounds of 15 questions, and one bonus question per round. Pages are marked a-la grade 5 math class by passing them to a friend. Points scored for being awesome and promoting awesome things! Find a funny answer on someone’s card, even if it’s not the right answer you can still nominate them for an awesome star. We also reward jokers and pranksters and all those who don’t cheat! Winner takes home bragging rights and some awesome prizes. M2M Expert Series: What the Wizard of Oz tells us about leadership – Even though it was written over a century ago, The Wizard of Oz contains enduring essential truths about successful leadership.  Through plenty of  illustrations from The Wizard, this will be a fun event where participants learn about recent thinking and innovations for leading peak performing teams.  Participants will also leave with insights into their own leadership styles and how to encourage leadership in others. Participants leave with deeper understanding of leadership fundamentals and more awareness of their own leadership style.   8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. @ The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce – 40 Elm Street

BENDS & BREWS September Edition! – Sudbury’s original yoga and beer blend is back for another round! ARC Climbing Yoga Fitness and Stack Brewing are serving up the combination of the summer. Join the ARC team at Stack Brewing on Thursday, September 22 from 6:30-8pm for a lighthearted 1-hr yoga class followed by a sampling of Stack beers. Please bring a yoga mat and a valid piece of ID.
